Bu Etkinlik Hakkında
The things we constantly transfer to tomorrow's to-do list can become a mental weight. Although we know the pleasant relief that will wash over us when what we are avoiding is complete, we still delay it a little longer.
Procrastination can be a form of art: the art of deferred action. It is a technique that has a bad reputation and is often embarrassing. But it can also be a way to claim the ways you wish for your time, with creative possibilities in it.
In the game "Procrastination", where you are expected to wait until it's almost too late, a spiraling source of potential energy is hidden, ready to act at a moment's notice. Narrowing a timeline can be a fruitful exercise of creative restraint, confidence in the unknown. When a window of opportunity shrinks, improvisation and spontaneity can unfold like a flower in a time-lapse video blooming at super speed.
The theme for April is “Postponing”. Selected by CreativeMornings Torino and illustrated by Elisa Talentino, Basecamp / HEY is this month's global theme partner.
The language of the event, which will take place on Friday, April 23, between 09:30 and 11:00, is Turkish.
Melis Danişmend, who graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Communication, continued her music studies, which she started with her school group during her high school years, by joining Üçnoktabir (formerly Spitney Beers). The artist, who started to work on his own songs after the disbandment of the group and is shown as one of the most successful musicians who wrote his own songs by the music authorities, continues his journalism along with his music career. Danişmend, who previously worked as a reporter, editor, editor-in-chief and writer for magazines and newspapers such as Vizyon, Radikal, Sabah, Rolling Stone Turkey and InStyle Turkey, and also prepared television and radio programs for a period, was last seen on Olay TV every day on weekdays. He was presenting the program called Art. The artist, who has been the writer of Gazete Kadıköy for three years, is preparing to publish his first book.
