Originn continues to host inspiring people with its life story, career, achievements and interesting characters.
Our guest for November is Emre Ertegun, the author of the book 'Towards the New', 'new villager'.
We know Emre Ertegün with the book 'Yeni'ye Doğru', which he authored and distributed free of charge. So what prompted Emre Ertegün to write this book?
Emre, who left business and the city about 5 years ago, settled in a village after living as a nomad for a year and a half and started to share life with a few of his friends.
During this period, he volunteered at eco-farms, traveled extensively, got acquainted with the village and the land, and had an appetite for returning to nature.
- He became acquainted with the concept of community and began to see himself as part of a huge community. He received significant financial and moral support from his large community at every step. On the other hand, she started to dream of starting a life with a smaller group and they continued to think, dream and work on this subject.
- He began to have a different relationship with money; "remembered" the concepts of the gift economy and the sharing economy; He put them at the center of his life. He has accumulated very interesting experiences in these matters.
And he tried to collect all these in his book "Towards the New", which he published with the support of the community last March.
During the conversation, Emre Ertegün will share his experiences and interesting moments both on the three main topics above (return to nature, the idea of community, the gift economy) and the process of writing and publishing the book.
Emre Ertegün will also share his book with guests who want to read it.
