FIG – Food and Tourism Entrepreneurship Program Born from the Bounty of the Aegean
FIG takes its name from figs, one of the symbolic products of Izmir and the Aegean region. Designed in 2018 in collaboration with Kök Projekt and Originn, the program aims to develop innovative ventures in the food and tourism sectors based on local products.
This three-month acceleration program combined Izmir's strong agricultural and gastronomic heritage with its tourism potential, providing entrepreneurs with a platform to develop their business models while contributing to regional development. During the program, the eight selected ventures not only grew their businesses but also produced creative solutions to issues hindering development in the region.
