Prof. Dr. Çiler Çilingiroğlu completed her undergraduate studies in Archaeology and Art History at Bilkent University and the University of California, Berkeley in 2001, her Master's degree at Istanbul University, and her PhD in Prehistory at the University of Tübingen in 2009 with distinction. Beginning her academic career in 2010 as a research assistant in the Department of Prehistory and Near Eastern Archaeology at Ege University, she has participated in numerous research projects, published scientific articles and papers, and served as excavation director in various archaeological research projects. She currently serves as the head of the Karaburun surface survey.
